Safety Lead – Operational Plant
Role Overview:
The Safety Lead for the Operational Plant is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all employees and contractors working within the plant. The role involves implementing safety protocols, identifying potential hazards, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. The Safety Lead will work closely with various departments to promote a safety-first culture, deliver safety training, and lead incident investigations to continuously improve safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs and protocols for the operational plant.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead safety meetings, deliver safety training, and promote awareness to ensure all employees and contractors adhere to safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the operations team to establish and maintain safe work practices.
- Investigate and report safety incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain safety records and documentation, including incident reports and safety training records.
- Lead and support emergency response planning, drills, and preparedness.
