Description
The Road Safety Specialist is responsible for implementing and overseeing road safety programs, ensuring safe driving practices, and minimizing road-related risks and accidents. This role involves assessing road safety conditions, providing training and guidance to drivers, and working closely with relevant stakeholders to enhance road safety management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Road Safety Program Implementation: Develop, implement, and monitor road safety programs tailored to the specific needs of the organization or project. This includes evaluating road safety risks and recommending corrective actions.
- Safety Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular audits of road conditions, vehicles, and safety practices to identify hazards and ensure compliance with road safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Driver Training and Education: Provide training for drivers on safe driving practices, defensive driving techniques, and accident prevention strategies. Ensure all drivers are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to operate vehicles safely.
- Accident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate road accidents and near-misses to identify root causes, prepare reports, and implement preventative measures to avoid future incidents.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, national, and international road safety regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in road safety, traffic management, or a related field (e.g., road safety management courses, defensive driving certifications).
