Develop and implement rigging and lifting plans for various operational activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Conduct site assessments to determine the most effective and safe rigging solutions for specific projects.
Equipment Management:
Select, inspect, and maintain rigging equipment, including slings, shackles, hoists, and other lifting gear.
Ensure all rigging equipment meets safety standards and is properly certified for use.
Team Coordination:
Lead and train rigging and lifting teams, ensuring all personnel are knowledgeable about safe practices and procedures.
Coordinate with other departments and teams to schedule and execute lifting operations effectively.
Safety Compliance:
Monitor rigging and lifting operations to ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to mitigate hazards associated with lifting activities.
Incident Investigation:
Investigate any incidents or near misses related to rigging and lifting operations, documenting findings and recommending improvements.
Prepare reports on safety performance and compliance for management review.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of rigging and lifting activities, equipment inspections, and safety training.
Assist in the development of safety documentation, including method statements and job safety analyses (JSAs).
